Kurtis A. “Kurt” Decker, 44, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, from injuries sustained in a car accident in Hartford County, Connecticut. Born on March 22, 1977, in Bellefonte, he was the son of Glenn E. Decker of Bellefonte and the late Susan J. (Allen) Decker.

Kurt graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1995. He furthered his education at Penn State University, earning his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering. He was working for Nathan L. Jacobson & Associates as a Project Representative and Construction Inspector.

Kurt was of the Christian faith and found peace in getting to know his Lord and Savior. He was a boxer for PSU and was a proud alumnus. He spent many hours in the gym and enjoyed listening to music. He had compassion for animals, especially his dog and ferrets. He will be forever missed and loved by many.

Kurt is survived by his father Glenn Decker and his significant other, Marg Myers, of Bellefonte; one daughter, Gracelyn Olivia Decker; eight aunts and uncles; numerous cousins; and many close friends.

Along with his mother, Kurt was preceded in death by his younger brother, Karl R. Decker in November of 2002.  

Friends and family will be received on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 11am – 12noon at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, Inc. in Centre Hall. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow at noon with Rev. Russell Sauerwein officiating. A graveside service will follow at the Zion Union Cemetery in Walker Township, where he will be laid to rest beside his brother.
