Lois Ann Gettig, 78, of Lock Haven, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024, at Lock Haven Rehabilitation and Senior Living. Born on August 4, 1945, at home in Jacksonville, she was the daughter of the late Earl George Gettig, Sr. and Eleanor Adaline (Lucas) Gettig.
Lois attended Bellefonte High School. She worked as a secretary for various companies throughout the years.
She is survived by her two sisters, Connie J. Gettig, and Barbara E. Gettig, both of Lock Haven, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Earl G. “Pete” Gettig, Jr.; a
niece, Elizabeth A. Gettig; a nephew, Paul D. Sunday and a great-nephew, Timothy Jon Bower.
Lois was of the Christian faith and attended worship services at several churches in the area. She was an exceptional pianist and had a beautiful singing voice. She sang at church, weddings, and in plays. She also loved animals, especially dogs and horses.
Funeral services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Lois to the Jacksonville Cemetery Association at 3440 Jacksonville Road, Bellefonte, 16823.
