Lori Ann Miller, 59, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Born on June 11, 1961, in Philipsburg, she was the daughter of Elizabeth A. (Surovec) Koleno of Clarence and the late Peter G. Koleno, Sr. On June 28, 1980, in Mill Run, she married Richard A. Miller, Sr. Richard passed away on March 2, 2001.

Lori was a 1979 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School. She worked at the Clarence Post Office and then went to the Mountaintop Elementary School as a Teacher’s Aid for many years before going to Bald Eagle Area High School to become a Special Needs Teacher’s Assistant. She retired after 15 years of service.

Lori was a member of the Queen of Archangels Parish in Clarence. She was an avid Steelers and Penn State football fan. She made it a point to attend her children’s sporting events and even help coach some of their teams. She drove the “team van” and took many children to their practices and games. She was an excellent cook, making all the traditional Slovak foods. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was always looking after her children and wanted only the best for them. She was a kind and caring person and always wore a smile.

Lori is survived by her four children: Richard A. Miller, Jr and his fiancé, Jennifer Kephart, of Howard, Nicole L. Miller of Aaronsburg, Joshua D. Miller and his companion, Amanda Mason, of Clarence, and Kayla D. Miller and her fiancé, Sheldon Scott, of State College; four grandchildren: Addisyn, Harrison, Ellisyn, and Alexis. 
She is also survived by five brothers: Randy Koleno and his wife, Christine, of Snow Shoe, Brian Koleno and his wife, Sharlene, of Mechanicsburg, Peter G. Koleno, Jr of Clearfield, Joseph Koleno and his wife, Michele, of Morrisdale and Chad Koleno and his wife, Allison of Morrisdale; one sister, Rebecca Magnuson and her husband, Dave, of Clearfield, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was affectionately known “Aunt GooGoo” to numerous nieces and nephews.

Along with her father and husband, Lori was preceded in death by one son, Daniel P. Miller who passed away on September 19, 1988, and siblings: Laverne Koleno and Peter S. Koleno.

Visitation will be on Thursday, February 25, 2021 from 6-8pm with a rosary service at 7:45pm at the Queen of Archangels Parish Church, 102 Church St. in Clarence. Memorial Mass will be on Friday, February 26, 2021 at 11am at the church with Father Michael Wolfe officiating. She will be laid to rest next to her son at the St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery in Clarence. 

Following CDC guidelines, face coverings and social distancing will be requested for all services.
