Marie E. Cain Zerby (Long)

Marie E. Cain Zerby, 86, of Fleming passed away at her residence on Monday February 8, 2021. Marie was born in Bellefonte on April 12, 1934, the daughter of the late Ernest and Lucy Long. Her first husband, Elmer Cain preceded her in death in 1990 and her second husband, Russell Zerby passed away in 2010. Marie is survived by her children, Gary Cain of Centre Hall, Linda Shope of Unionville, Connie Martin of Lewistown, Ernie (Sue) Cain of Centre Hall, Judy (Kevin) Hockenberry of Unionville, Mary (Kendall) Peachy of Zion; her brothers, Sonny (Patti) Mauck of rural Bellefonte, Chester Long and John (Lisa) Long of Winburn. She is also survived by her 16 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by her son, Charles Cain, her sister, Mary Snyder, and her brothers, Russell Long, Bruce Long and George Long.

Marie worked in the Food Service Dept. at the Centre Community Hospital. Marie enjoyed going to yard sales and sitting on her porch talking with her neighbors. When she had her health she loved to go shopping.

Visitation will be on Friday, February 12, 2021 from 10 AM to 11 AM at the Dean K. Wetzler Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Inc., 201 Spring Street, Milesburg. A funeral service will follow at 11 AM with Pastor
Michael Fisher officiating. Burial will be in the Advent Cemetery, Boggs Twp., Centre Co., PA.
