Alfred G. Beck, 88 of Beech Creek, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at the Eagle Ridge Nursing Home. He was born on September 3, 1927 the son of the late Weston & Barbara Ella Gottshall Beck.

He married Florence A Berdell, who preceded him in death.

Alfred served his country proudly in the U.S. Navy. He was a truck driver for over 30 years. Driving long haul truck most of his adult career, he enjoyed the open road and traveling of course and listening to music. His most favorite being Country artists, the late Jim Reeves and Patsy Cline. In addition, he enjoyed bowling and golfing after his retirement while living in Sarasota, Fl.

He is survived by three brothers; Carl G., Clyde G., and Gene G. Beck, Daughters; Carol Ferraro and Diane Beck, both of Fayetteville, NC., Judy Heyer of Towanda, Pa., Wilma and husband Scott Kern of Perkasie, Pa., Wendy and husband Jeff Nase of Perkasie, Pa., and Jill Beck of Easton, Pa., two sisters; Gertrude Hager and Marie Hughes., son; George W. and wife Glenna Beck of Beech Creek, Pa., son-in-law; Bruce S. Nase, huband of Jerri L. of Telford, Pa., 18 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 18 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death along with his wife, a daughter; Jerri L. Nase, brothers; George W., Harold G., Weston G., (Junior), and James G. Beck, sister; Ella Mae Strouse.

A celebration of life for Alfred and his daughter, Jerri will be held for family and close friends at Trinity Christian Church UCC Cemetery, 2009 Church Rd., Harleysville, Pa. on September 3, 2016 (Alfred's 89th Birthday) at 11:00 a.m. lunch immediately following at the Farmhouse Restaurant, 1146 Stump Hill Rd., Skippack, Pa.
