Alton R. Holderman, 70, of Bellefonte, passed away on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at his residence with family by his side.
Born on October 27, 1939, in Bellefonte, he was a son of the late Mildred (Holderman) Carver.
On May 10, 1964, he was married to Jean E. Inhoof, who preceded him in death on October 1, 1980.
Mr. Holderman honorably served our country in the U.S. Navy from October 1956 to October 1960.
He was employed by Rustger Organics in the Production Maintenance Department, retiring in October 2002.
Alton was a member of the Undine Fire Company, Bellefonte VFW, Bellefonte Elks, and enjoyed golfing.
He is survived by four children, Alton Holderman Jr. (Linda) of Bellefonte, Lisa Askew (David) of Henderson, NC, Timothy Holderman (Debbie) of Clearwater, FL, and John Holderman (Cindy) of Muskegon, MI; one brother, Durbin Carver; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, he is preceded in death by one brother, David Carver.
Family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Services on Saturday, October 9, 2010 at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Brent ________ officiating. Inurnment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, State College.
