Andrew Joseph “Chuck” Fiorante, 63, of State College, died Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at his home.

Born March 19, 1953, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Saverio Fiorante and Madeline Russo Fiorante, of New Castle. His wife Linda Klasic Fiorante survives at home.

Also surviving are two sons, Drew Fiorante and his wife, Kelly, of Conshohocken, Pennsylvania and Devin Fiorante of Washington D. C.; three siblings, Margaret Frigone and her husband, Samuel, Samuel Fiorante and his wife, Connie, all of New Castle and Mary Jane Mangino and her husband, Mark, of Naples, FL; sister-in-laws, Cynthia Klasic of Langhorne, PA and Susan Klasic and her husband, Mark, of Denver, CO; brother-in-laws, Keith Klasic of Newtown, PA, Kevin Klasic and his wife, Karen, of Lansdale, PA, and Craig Klasic and his husband, Mike, of Harbenson, DE; along with five nieces and six nephews.

In addition to his father, Chuck was preceded in death by his dear aunt, Mary Fiorante and his beloved aunts and uncles.

Chuck was a 1970 graduate of New Castle High School, receiving numerous football accolades, including, All- American, All-WPIAL, WPIAL AA Most Valuable Player in 1970, First Team All-State, and captain of the Pennsylvania Big 33 team. He attended West Virginia University on a Division 1 scholarship and was a two year letter winner. Chuck completed his Bachelor of Science degree at Penn State University. While there he met the love of his life, Linda. On September 24th, 1977, they were married at the Eisenhower Chapel at University Park.

He was employed in Sales and Marketing at leading analytical life science companies, Supelco/Sigma Aldrich and Cardinal Health. In his most recent years, Chuck began his dream job as a Guest Teacher for the State College Area School District where he was fondly known as “Mr. F.”

Chuck cherished his childhood memories of growing up in New Castle and enjoyed sharing them with family and friends. He loved reading and kept a personal, private library at home. He enjoyed sharing his readings and knowledge with others. Chuck was a member of the American Legion and the Lawrence County Sports Hall of Fame. He volunteered with youth athletics in State College, including Little League Baseball and Pioneer Basketball. Chuck also volunteered with the Salvation Army, Red Kettle Campaign.

Chuck was dearly loved and will be missed by all.

Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m., on Sunday, September 4, 2016 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Memorial service will follow at 3 p.m., at the funeral home with the Reverend Neil Dadey officiating.

Private burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
