Ann T. Crowley, 83, of State College, passed away Sunday, June 18th, 2017 at Centre Crest in Bellefonte, PA. Ann was born February 4th, 1934 to the late Thomas and Theresa Connors of New Haven, Connecticut. Mrs. Crowley graduated from St. Francis Grammar School, then went on to graduate from St. Mary's Catholic School. After St. Mary's, she went on to attend Southern Connecticut State College. Upon completing her education, she would be reunited with Kenneth Crowley, whom she would marry October 27, 1956. After marriage she resided with her husband in Queens, New York City.

It was there that she took on the role of loving wife and homemaker, a title in which she took great pride in. Queens was also to be the birthplace of their three children, and they shared life and love as a family there until her husband's career relocated them to State College in 1978.

Though she loved being a wife and mother, she had so much love and compassion left to give to the community. She was an avid volunteer between Schlow Library, the Centre County Festival of the Arts, and what is now Mount Nittany Medical Center. Always a true lady, Mrs. Crowley served as a role model for the younger generation in State College and was always welcoming and willing to lend an ear.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth W. Crowley, and her daughter, Kathleen A. Crowley. She is survived by her sister Veronica Hendricks of Orange, CT, her brother Leo Connors of Hamden, CT, her son Kenneth C. Crowley of Williamsport, PA and her daughter, Elizabeth C. Watkins of State College, PA. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Michael Watkins, James Crowley, Cassandra Dick and Jessica Watkins, as well as three great-grandchildren.

Her service will be held on Friday, June 23rd at noon at Good Shepard Catholic Church in Grays Woods. The burial will be a private ceremony, at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. in Bellefonte, PA.
