Obituary of Anna Smoyer, 78

Anna Ruth Smoyer, 78, formerly of Boalsburg, passed away Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Centre Crest Nursing Home in Bellefonte. Born on October 22, 1938, in Spring Mills, PA. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (Heisey) Fohringer. On September 23, 1967 in Bellefonte, she married Charles Smoyer who preceded her in death on December 13, 2007. She was a former bank teller at Omega Bank.

She is survived by one daughter, Michele Smoyer of Boalsburg and two sons, John Smoyer (Nancy) of Boalsburg and Kevin Smoyer (Terri) of Spring Mills, two grandchildren, Toby and Kasandra Smoyer of Spring Mills, one great grandchild, Kalven Smoyer of Spring Mills. Also surviving is one brother, Ken Fohringer (Deb) of Filmore, and one sister, Eunice Paraiso (Cesar) of Aiken, SC.

Anna Ruth was a member of State College Alliance Church, and Boalsburg Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by one sister, Dorcas Summers, and one brother, Carl Fohringer.

There will be a public visitation held on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 from 6-8pm at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc., 206 N. Spring Street, Bellefonte, PA 16823 and also from 10-10:30 am at State College Alliance Church 1221 W. Whitehall Road, State College, PA 16801.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 4, 2017 at 10:30 am at State College Alliance Church with Rev. Aaron Henning officiating. Burial will follow at Zion Hill Cemetery, Centre Hall. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.wetzlerfuneralhome.com
