Obituary of Anna Trostle, 87

Anna “Maise” Trostle, 87, of State College, died Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Mount Nittany Medical Center.

Born April 17, 1930, in Ferguson Township, she was the daughter of the late John Linn and Edna Mae Corl Stine. On September 22, 1951, in Pine Hall Lutheran Church, she married Bill Calvin Trostle, who preceded her in death on November 13, 1979.

She is survived by three children, Denise A. Trostle, of State College, Kevin J. Trostle and his wife, Kay M., of State College, Keith A. Trostle and his wife, Mary, and two grandsons, Luke W. and Samuel J. Trostle, of Erie, and one brother, Richard A. Stine of Pensacola, FL.

Maise was a 1947 graduate of State College High School and a long-time member of Pine Hall Lutheran Church.

She was a homemaker and a caregiver who enjoyed spending time with family and friends and her regular get togethers with “the Girls” – her closest high school classmates. She was loved and will be missed by many.

Visitation will be from 2 until 3 p.m., on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Memorial service will follow at 3 p.m., at the funeral home, with the Reverend Ron Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery in the spring.
