Obituary of Arthur Ridenour Sr., 75

Arthur M. Ridenour, Sr., 75, of Julian, passed away at his home on Friday, December 25, 2015. He was born October 7, 1940 in Greensburg, Pa., the son of the late Glenn K. and Jane Crownover Ridenour. He is married to the former Betty M. Miller (Ridenour) who survives at home.

He was a member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church in State College. Arthur served his country in the United States Marine Corps. Arthur was an electrical engineer at EMF Spectrum Systems. He was a member of the VFW Post 8724 in State College, the Marine Corps League in State College and the Nittany Leather Necks. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, bird watching, trains and tinkering.

Along with his wife, Arthur is survived by his two daughters; Mary Jane (James) Catalano of Zion, Deanna (Bryce) Benner of Largo, FL and one step daughter, Barbara (Jay) Schlegel of Curwensville. He is also survived by his son William G. (Heather) Ridenour of Clearfield, Utah, his two step sons; Richard (Donna) Swartz of Port Matilda and Michael Swartz of Julian; his brother Richard Ridenour of Bend, OR; his twenty three grandchildren and his nine great grandchildren. In additon to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Arthur M. Ridenour, Jr.

A celebration of Arthur's life will be held at a later date in the Spring of 2016. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
