Obituary of Barbara Hauser, 81

Barbara B. Hauser, 81 of Snow Shoe, passed away Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. She was born in Williamsport, January 20, 1930 a daughter of the late Carl C. and Florence I. Billett Cole.

On August 20, 1948 she married George J. Hauser, who preceded her in death on February 26, 2010.

She was a graduate of Bellefonte High School class of 1948. Barbara was employed as an Admission Clerk at Centre Crest for many years. She was a member of the Mountain Top Christian Alliance Church. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by one daughter; Peggy L. Shope and husband Kenneth of Snow Shoe, one son; Michael J. Hauser and wife Anne of Snow Shoe, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, one sister; Peggy I. Eckley of Mason, Ohio, and one brother; Ward G. Cole of Zion.

Funeral services will be Sunday, May 1, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. at the Mountain Top Alliance Church, 624 E. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe with the Pastor Douglas Mottin officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011 from 6 – 8:00 p.m. at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe. Burial will be at Oakhill Cemetery, Karthaus at the family's convenience.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain Top Christian Alliance Church.
