Beatrice L. “Bea” Maney, 82, of Frenchville, passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2015 at her home. Born on July 12, 1933, in LeContes Mills, she was the daughter of the late Andrew L. and Emma E. Bergey Maines. On September 26, 1952, in Shawsville, she married Richard L. “Dick” Maney, who survives at home.

Bea is a 1952 graduate of the Clearfield High School. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Karthaus. She, alongside of her husband, ran and operated the family business, R.L. Maney. She did everything throughout the business but her main duty was the office manager.

Bea was an excellent cook. In her younger years, she was an avid hunter. She loved going for rides to look at the Elk. She enjoyed traveling, especially to Maine. She was the best wife and mother that God ever created.

Bea is survived by her husband, two sons; William R. Maney and his wife, Mildred K, of Keewaydin, R. Chris Maney and his wife, Lucy A, of Bellefonte, and her daughter, Sally A. Lupton and her husband, Edward Sr., of Keewaydin. Also surviving are her 10 grandchildren; Edward Lupton, Jr, Diana Howsare, Andrew Lupton, Samantha Wolf, Jonathon Lupton, T.C. Maney, Brandi Witmer, Heather Frey, Julie Witmer, and Billi Jo Maney, 14 great grandchildren, two sisters; Betty Noland of North Ridgeville, OH and Doris Kilburn and her husband, Darrell, of Fairport, NY, two sister in-laws; Jane Maines of Wellington, OH, and Elma Maines of Zephyrhills, FL, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Bea was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Maney, and three brothers, David, Leslie, and Andrew, Jr.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 from 5-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe and Wednesday, November 18, 2015, 12 noon until the time of the service at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, Main St. Karthaus. Funeral service will be on Wednesday, November 18, 2015 at 1pm with Pastor Matthew Finney officiating. Burial will be at the Keewaydin Cemetery.
