Bernice (Bernie) E. Frazier, 96, of Boalsburg, died Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Centre Crest in Bellefonte.

She was born May 22, 1919 in Potter Township Centre County; a daughter of the late Earl Foster Frazier, and Anna Jane Smith Frazier.

Bernice graduated from Centre Hall-Potter High School and from the Williamsport School of Commerce.

She was employed as a secretary at Penn State University earlier in life; then worked as Head Bookkeeper for Peoples National Bank ( now First National Bank of Pennsylvania) until her retirement. She lived with and cared for her mother for twenty nine years. She was a regular hospital volunteer.

Ms. Frazier was a member of Sprucetown United Methodist Church, and a member of the Professional and Business Woman’s Club in State College.

Bernie was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling and was a Bridge Club member for fifty years. She also loved to travel. To relax, Bernie knit beautiful sweaters for her friends and family, but she especially enjoyed the time spent with her nieces and nephews.

Surviving are two brothers, Donn Frazier and his wife Marie of Lancaster, and Kenneth Frazier and his wife Sara of Centre Hall; also many cherished nieces and nephews: Jeff Frazier of Centre Hall, Scott Frazier of Pittsburgh, Mike Frazier of Spring Mills; Nancy Frazier Wagner of Centre Hall; Beth Frazier Znaneicki of Denver CO, Sandra Frazier Zerby of Spring Mills, Jackie Frazier Calnon of Dublin OH, Kenny Frazier of San Diego CA and many great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother Robert Frazier and his wife Lois and a sister-in-law Mary Ann Fraizer (Donn)

Following her wishes there will be no public viewing. Friends will be received from 2 to 3 pm Sunday, May 15, 2016, at Sprucetown United Methodist Church, 177 Upper Georges Valley Road, Spring Mills, PA The memorial service will follow immediately at 3 pm at the funeral home with the Reverend F. Jeffrey Mugridge officiating. Burial will be in the Reformed and Lutheran Cemetery, W. Church St. Centre Hall, PA

In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Sprucetown United Methodist Church, 177 Upper Georges Valley Road, Spring Mills, PA 16875.
