Beth Anne (Stitzel) Donghia, 39, died suddenly March 26, 2011 in her College Township, Centre County residence.

She was the wife of Patrick Andrew Donghia, whom she married August 6, 1994.

Born in West Reading, PA on August 22, 1971, she was a daughter of Richard A. Stitzel, husband of Eileen M. (Muschko) McKemy-Stitzel of Wyomissing Borough, Berks County and the late Mary Anne (Kuhn) Stitzel, who died November 27, 2004.

She was a 1989 graduate of Holy Name High School, Reading and a 1993 graduate of Lock Haven University. She later received her master’s degree from Penn State University.

While at Holy Name, Beth was a member of the Field Hockey Team, Softball Team and the Cheerleading squad. She continued her field hockey career at Lock Haven where she was a member of three national championship teams.

She was a proud member of the Nittany Lion Wrestling Family and was very active with the State College Little League.

Beth was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, State College, where she was Sunday School and Bible School Teacher.

She was employed as a health and physical education teacher at Mt. Nittany Middle School with the State College Area School District, last working Friday.

Other survivors include two sons: Grant C. Donghia and Conner G. Donghia both at home.

She is also survived by three siblings: Amy L. (Stitzel), wife of Brian K. Miller of Spring Township, Berks County; Matthew J., husband of Rebecca J. (Simon) Stitzel of Spring Township, Berks County and Meg B. (Stitzel), wife of Matthew R. Rosenberg of Chesterfield, Virginia.

Her paternal grandmother also survives her; Beulah A. (Naftzinger) Stitzel, of Bern Township.

Services will be Thursday at 11:00 am in Grace Lutheran Church, 205 S. Garner St., State College, PA 16801, with Rev. P. Stevens Lynn officiating. A viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:00 – 9:00 pm in Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA 16801 and Thursday from 10:00 am until time of services in the Church. Interment will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
