Obituary of Betty J Almashie, 81

Betty J. Almashie, 81, of Clarence, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2011 at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on September 30, 1929, in Frenchville, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Augustine Martel Royer. On September 27, 1952, in Ohio, she married George “Bobo” Almashie, Sr., who survives at home.
Betty was a cook at Rees Truck Stop, retiring after 20years of service. She was of the Catholic Faith. She was a member of the Clarence American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, and the Snow Shoe Senior Citizens Club.
Along with her husband, Betty is survived by; her two sons, George “Bobo” Almashie, Jr. and his wife, Dee of Moshannon, Stephen M Almashie and his wife, Maggie, of State College, three daughters, Linda S. Bressler and her husband, John, of Clarence, Brenda L Trude and her companion, Mack, of Bellefonte, and Tina M. Almashie and her companion, Todd, of Bellefonte. Also surviving are 6 grandchildren, 3 step grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 5 step great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and 4 sisters. She was the last of her generation.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 from 1-3 & 5-7pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St., Snow Shoe. Funeral Service will be Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 7pm at the funeral home with Pastor Cathy Dittman officiating. Burial will be private.
