Billie J. Croyle, 61, of Snow Shoe, passed away on Saturday, August 31, 2013 at the Mt. Nittany Medical Center. Born on November 9, 1951 in Black Moshannon, he was the son of the late John W. & Alice Pilkington Croyle, Sr. On December 8, 1972 in Philipsburg, he married Bonnie K. Zeigler, who survives at home.

Billie was a 1969 graduate of Philipsburg-Osceola High School. He was a member of the Snow Shoe United Methodist Church. He was employed at J. H. France Refractory in Clarence and then went to work as a truck driver for Glenn O. Hawbaker in State College.
Billie was a member of the NRA and the 3 Point Sportsmen Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and spending time with family and friends. He loved the ocean but refused to enter the water.

Billie is survived by his wife, three children; Kenneth E. Tressler and his wife, Dana of Milesburg, Russell A. Tressler and his companion, Sara Robinson of Bellefonte, and Jodi K. Gheen and her husband, Chuck, “BooBoo” of Snow Shoe. Also surviving are his seven grandchildren; Krissa Hauffman, Mathew Barndt, Ryan Tressler, Tylor Tressler, Shawn Tressler, Jesse Gheen, and Caili Gheen, one great grandchild, Kayden Hauffman, and one sister, Marlean Verbeck of Philipsburg. He is also survived by his dog, Harley-Dawn.

Along with his parents, Billie was preceded in death by his two brothers; John and Frank Croyle.

Viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 from 2-4 & 6-8pm at the Daughenbaugh Funeral Home, 106 W. Sycamore St. Snow Shoe. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11am at the funeral home with Pastor Barbara Troxell officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
