Brandon Paul Ream, 29, of Boalsburg, beloved husband of Samantha Ream and son of Gary P. and Rebecca R. Ream, passed away Monday, November 25, 2013, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Houston, TX.

In addition to his wife and parents, he is also survived by two sisters, Lindsay Whitton and her husband, Alistair, of Centre Hall and Kelsey Ream of State College; paternal grandparents, Paul and Marian Ream of Centre Hall. He is cherished by his wife’s parents and numerous brothers and sisters. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Eunice Riegel and cousin Stephanie Hazel.

Born January 23, 1984, in State College. He was a life long resident of Happy Valley. A 2002 graduate of State College Area High School where he was a standout football and basketball player. He went on to become a punter at Penn State University from 2002 -2006 where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business and met his wife, PSU Volleyball player, Samantha (Tortorello) Ream.

He served as the Vice President of Operations at Camp Woodward, where he managed everyday activities, focusing on TV, media and sponsorship. Additionally, he played a critical role as Camp Woodward expanded with locations in Pennsylvania, California, Colorado and Beijing, China. Camp Woodward was his passion and his second family.

Brandon enjoyed golfing, fishing, basketball and football. A devoted Penn State Fan, he was often seen at PSU Football games and courtside at PSU basketball and volleyball games. He loved traveling and spending the holidays on Singer Island, FL. But his greatest of all joys was spending time with his family and friends – especially his sister’s children Brener and Carter and his other adoring nieces and nephews Michael, Chase, MacKenzie, Ava, Lola, Dominic, Tess, Stella, Sophia and Madeleine.

Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until 8 p.m., on Sunday, December 1, 2013, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., on Monday, December 2, 2013, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College, with the Reverend’s Neil Dadey and Matthew Laffey officiating.

Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
