Obituary of Carol Jean Erdman , 72

Carol Jean Erdman, 72, of Selinsgrove, died Monday, April 30, 2012 at The Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in State College.

Born September 9, 1939, in Sunbury, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Conrad and Eva Walters Conrad, who survives in Selinsgrove. She married Wayne Erdman who preceded her in death in 1996.

She is survived by two children, Joel S. Kunkel and his wife, Christine, of Saxonburg, Jana E. Rohrbach, of Boalsburg, a sister, Katherine’ Granger and her husband, Jim, of Camp Hill, a brother, Raymond Conrad and his wife, Dorraine, of Selinsgrove, nine grandchildren, Alyssa, Jolene and Lucas Kunkel and Nick, Erika, Miranda, Nathaniel, Morgan and Jordan Rohrbach, and two great grandchildren.

She was employed by Degenstein Community Library in Sunbury before retiring in 2010. After retirement she volunteered at the Sunbury and Selinsgrove libraries.

Carol was a graduate of Selinsgrove Area High School. She attended St. Paul’s United Church of Christ in Selinsgrove and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Snyder County Historical Foundation. She devoted her spare time doing genealogy for her family and helping others doing research into their genealogy. She also enjoyed spending time with her family, reading and had an appreciation for the outdoors.

A memorial funeral service will be held at St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, 400 N. Market Street, Selinsgrove, PA 17870 at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012.
