Caryl A. Lomison, 76, of Jersey Shoe, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at the Haven Skilled Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Lock Haven. Born on January 3, 1937, in Avis, she was the daughter of the late Robert & Martha Dutton Kline. On March 22, 1957, in Avis, she married Jacob R. Lomison who passed away on December29, 1995.
Caryl is a 1954 graduate of Jersey Shoe High School. She was employed at Sylvania, Whispering Pines Personal Care Home, and Williamsport Hospital. She was a member of the Lycoming Christian Church where she was active in the prayer ministry and the women’s ministry. She was a big supporter of the youth group fundraising activities.
Caryl loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a great cook, making the best raisin filled cookies and homemade bread. She was famous for your homemade stuffing ball. She enjoyed making crafts, making floral arrangements and sewing.
Caryl is survived by; her children, Diana L. Combs of Jersey Shore, Mark W. Lomison and his wife, Margie of Indiana, Cindy L Toner and her husband, William of Rote, and Matthew K. Lomison and his wife, Tammy of North Carolina, and two brothers, George D. Kline and his wife, Neva of Florida and Stanley D. Kline and his wife, Lois of Avis.
Also surviving are her 10 grandchildren; Chad Lomison, Crystal Hughes, Kristi Fisher, Cheri Blevins, Cassie Machell, Beth Bollman, Ashely DuBois, Levi Lomison, Raelyn Lomison, and Seth Lomison, and 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents and husband, Caryl was preceded in death by her siblings; Miriam Deuchar, Betty Mickesh, Geraldine Piney, Robert Kline, Jr., Sara Kline, and Lois Haight.
Grave side services will be held on Friday, May 3, 2013 at 3pm at Schenck’s Cemetery, Howard Twp., with Pastor Donald Dennis and Pastor Ronald Savits officiating. A memorial service will follow at the Lycoming Christian Church, 20 Chapel Hill Rd. Linden, PA at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Lycoming Christian Church Scholarship Fund, 20 Chapel Hill Rd. Linden, PA 17744.
