Obituary of Charles J. Siegler "Chuck" Jr. , 62

Charles J. "Chuck" Siegler, Jr., 62, of Petersburg, died on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2009, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born on July 31, 1947, in Altoona, he was a son of the late Charles J. Siegler, Sr. and the late Betty J. Killinger.

On June 6, 1970, he married Patricia A. Marquet, in Bellefonte. He was a graduate of Altoona Area High School and Johnstown Trade School. He was employed by Penn State University for 30 years. He enjoyed hunting, football (especially Penn State and the Pittsburgh Steelers), and baseball. He was a member of Monroe Furnace Hunting & Fishing Club.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Christine M. Siegler, of Petersburg; son, John Allen Siegler, of McConnelsburg; sister, Sandra K. Siegler, of Altoona; brother, Ronald P. Siegler, of Altoona; and two grandchildren, Daryl and John Jr.

Friends will be received from 10-12 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at The Good Funeral Home Inc., Alto-Reste Park Cemetery. Funeral service will follow at 12 p.m., at the funeral home with Pastor Ken Detwiler officiating. Interment will be in Alto-Reste Park Cemetery.
