Obituary of Charlotte K. Sarson , 94

Charlotte K. Sarson, 94, formerly of State College, died Thursday, Nov. 12, 2009, at Valley View Haven in Belleville. Born Sept. 21, 1915, in Pennsylvania Furnace, she was a daughter of the late George W. and Ida Mary Keller Koch. On August 17, 1940, she married J. Edward Sarson, who died July 4, 2004. Charlotte was a graduate of State College High School. She was a member of the McAlevys Fort United Presbyterian Church. Charlotte is survived by her daughter, Suzie Horner and her husband, Fred, of Petersburg; a grandson, Michael Horner and his wife, Michele, of Greenwich, Conn.; a great-granddaughter, Mercedes; and a sister, Helen K. Taylor, of State College. Along with her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Robert L. Koch, and three sisters, Kathryn K. Shoemaker, Etta G. Harpster, and Ada B. Kessinger. Visitation will be from 11 a.m.- noon on Monday, Nov. 16, 2009, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral services will follow at noon at the funeral home with Pastor Dan Morris officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Mills Cemetery.
