Christine Kitchen, 77, of Bellefonte, passed away on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College. Born on June 7, 1940 in Columbus, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Ira Lee and Bonnie George (Smith) Goodwin. She was the beloved wife of Glen Uriah Kitchen, who preceded her in death on May 24, 2000.

She was a high school graduate. Prior to her retirement, Christine worked for Russ Uniform Company.

Christine is survived by three children, Terry Phillips (Beth), of Bellefonte, Michael Kitchen (Melody), of Yarnell, and Tory Kitchen (Leslie) of Huntingdon. Also surviving is one sister, Patsy Pritchett, of Alabama, 16 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by two sons, Timothy Phillips and Ricky Phillips; four brothers, three sisters, and two grandchildren.

Christine spent many fun-filled weekends playing poker or going to bingo. She enjoyed hunting, going to the race track, and cookouts with her family. Christine also had a special place in her heart for her BK friends and neighbors.

A public viewing will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2017 from 11am-1pm at Wetzler Funeral Service, Inc. at 206 N. Spring Street Bellefonte. Funeral services will immediately follow at 1pm at the funeral home with Rev. Calvin Miller officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
