Obituary of Cindy Higgins, 60

Cindy Irene Higgins, 60 of Bellefonte, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 30, 2011. She was born February 14, 1951 in Bellefonte, the daughter of the late Charles and Alice Fogleman.

Cindy was a past member of the Bellefonte VFW and was a devoted member during the time she was a member. She was a rental manager of a local apartment complex, where she worked for the last six years with her husband. She also drove tractor-trailers with her husband for several years and loved traveling all around the country. She especially loved being with family and friends at summertime outings and she also loved playing games on her computer and chatting with her friends.

She is survived by her husband of 17 years, Eldon Higgins, two sons, Malcolm Shultz and wife Denice from Howard and Paul Brown of Conroe, Tx. One daughter; Nadine Rogers and husband Roger from Howard. She is also survived by seven grandsons; Douglas, Daniel and Joshua Rogers, Christopher and Zachary Schultz, and Willard Brown and one grand-daughter; Emilie Rogers. Cindy is also survived by two brothers; Dennis Fogleman of Milesburg and Timothy Fogleman of Pine Glenn and a sister Brenda Fetters of Zion. She was preceded in death by a sister Gayle. She is also survived by her faithful companions, her two dogs, Rocky and Sylvester and her cat Fancy, and her six birds and fish, which she enjoyed so much.

The last couple years of her life in addition to her husband she was being cared for by her personal care attendant, Dawn Payne.

Services will be held at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main St., Howard, Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 7:00 p.m.. There will be a visitation from 6 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorial contributions be made to the family or to the funeral home to help with the expenses.
