Claire A. Murphy, 88, of State College, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at Westport Health Care Center in Richmond, Va. She was born Sept. 27, 1921 in Philadelphia. On Jan. 29, 1944, she married Alonzo "Al" C. Murphy, who died April 22, 1998.
She is survived by two daughters, Kathleen Kime, of Lancaster and Jeanne Roberts, of Quinton, Va.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 12:45-1:45 p.m. on Saturday, March 13, 2010, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Her funeral service will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Monsignor David Lockard officiating. Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
