Clare B. Winslow, 84, of Blanchard, passed away on Friday, February 27, 2015. Born on September 20, 1930, in Blanchard, she was the daughter of the late Leland S. and Faye Weston Bolopue. On September 8, 1951, in Beech Creek, she married Walter J. Winslow, Jr. who passed away on March 4, 1993.
Clare was a 1948 graduate of Lock Haven High School. She was a member of the Faith Chapel United Methodist Church in Howard. Clare was a Librarian Assistant at the Keystone Central School District, retiring in 1995 after 30yrs of service.
Clare was an avid reader. She enjoyed going to garage sales and yard sales. She love to cook and was an excellent baker.
Clare is survived by her children; Douglas L. Winslow and his wife, Cathy, of Blanchard, Michael J. Winslow and his wife, Toni, of Carlisle, and Jill M. Winslow, M.D. of Westmoreland, NH. Also surviving are her five grandchildren, Emily& Kristen Winslow, Matt & Andy McDermit, and Erin Ferguson, four great grandchildren, and two sisters; Doris Quigg of Flemington, and Barbara Teaman and her husband, Gene, of Blanchard.
Along with her parents and husband, Clare was preceded in death by four sisters.
In accordance with Clare’s wishes, all services will be private. Burial will be at Schenck’s Cemetery in Howard.
