Obituary of Claude Packer, 70

Claude R. “Butch” Packer, 70 of Orviston, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center. He was born on January 8, 1944 a son of the late William A. and Pearl Shuey Packer.

Butch attended the Marsh Creek Brethren in Christ Church. He also attended Sunny Days Adult Day Care of Pleasant Gap. He enjoyed collecting hats and loved being around people.

Butch is survived by three sisters; Joyce Conaway, Janet Miller and Brenda Lannan, two brothers; Terry and William “Bill” Jr., and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be hold Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Marsh Creek Brethren Church, 389 Summit Hill Rd., Howard, with the Pastor Dan Longmore will officiating. Friends and family will be received one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
