Obituary of Claude Rupert, 86

Claude H. Rupert, 86 of Beech Creek, passed away Thursday, June 27, 2013 as a result of the flash flood that struck the area. He was born in Beech Creek on November 16, 1926, the son the late Fred and Ella Mann Rupert.

His wife of over 65 years, Genevieve Geise, survives at home.

Claude was employed at Piper Aircraft for over 30 years until his retirement. He proudly served his country during World War II in the U.S. Navy at Pearl Harbor. He enjoyed raising his deer, which he did for many years.

Surviving along with his wife are his three daughters; Linda (Bob) Young of Howard, Ann (Robert) Peters of Beech Creek, and Darlene (William) Hutchings of Beech Creek, one son; Rodney L. (Nicole) Rupert of Beech Creek, two sisters; Violet Walker of Flemington and Marge (Kenneth) McCully of Beech Creek, seven grandchildren, one brother; Kenneth Rupert of Lock Haven , six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by a son; Ricky Rupert on December 16, 1971.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening July 2, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the Kader-Neff Funeral Home, 135 W. Main Street, Howard.
