Clyde R. Clouser Sr., 74, of State College, died Saturday August 31, 2013 at his home.
He was born March 9, 1939, in Spruce Creek, PA a son of the late LeRoy and Emma (Ott) Clouser.
On July 9, 1966 at the St. Paul United Methodist Church he married Maryann (Sauers) who survives at home.
Clyde was an Army veteran in the Vietnam War.
He was the owner of Clyde Clouser Carpentry, he then went to work for Carl Long, Jr., prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the American Legion Post 245, a former member of the Outdoors Sportsman Association, and he was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved the outdoors and spending time with his family.
Surviving in addition to his wife is one son, Clyde Robert Clouser, Jr. of Warriors Mark; two daughters Billi Jo Stokes (Adam) of Hollidaysburg, Lee Ann Welch (Donald) of Julian; three brothers Harold (Molly), Ronald (Joyce) both of Belleville, Paul (Linda) of Bellefonte; two sisters Verna Hartman and Beulah “Sis” Houser both of Lemont.
In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Friends will be received on Tuesday September 3, 2013 from 7-9 p.m. at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services 1034 Benner Pike, State College, PA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00a.m., on Wednesday September 4, 2013 at the funeral home with the Reverend Edward Preston officiating. Interment will follow in Centre County Memorial Park with Military honors in accord.
