Obituary of D. Jeffrey Boyle, 61

D. Jeffrey Boyle, 61, of Howard, passed away on Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.

Born on September 23, 1952 in Altoona, to Eugene and Mildred (O’Connor) Boyle of Altoona.

He graduated Altoona HS in 1970. Upon graduation Jeff received two associates degrees in Business and Drafting.

For most of his life he worked as a carpenter and woodworker; viewing the occupation as more of a hobby than a job.

Mr. Boyle enjoyed being down in his shop, woodworking, being in the outdoors, camping, and spending time with his dogs.

On June 15, 1985 in Bedford, he married the love of his life, Debbie A. Leberknight who survives at home.

He is proceeded in death by two sisters and his favorite canine Sammy.

In addition to his parents and wife, Jeff is survived by his son Nick Boyle and wife Mary of State College; his beloved granddaughter, Mackenzie Boyle; expected granddaughter January 2014; and his two canine companions, Remington and Winchester.

Jeff had a love for his family and dogs that will always be remembered through the memories he made with them.

Memorial Services will be announced at a later time by the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Boyle’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 123 S. Sparks St., State College, PA 16801.
