Obituary of David Wagner, 76

David “Ray” Wagner, 76, of Bellefonte, passed away Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at home. A son of the late Forrie and Naomi (Emel) Wagner, he was born on June 14, 1936, in Armagh Township, Mifflin County. In November 1959 he married the former Kathryn Mitchell-Wagner who survives at home.
David was a 1954 graduate of Armagh – Brown High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He had worked at Cerro Copper and Brass as a laborer, retiring after 42 years. He then worked at Wal-Mart, Benner Pike, assembling bicycles.
David is survived by one daughter, Sue Simonetti and son-in-law Bob, of Zion, one son, Brad Wagner and daughter-in-law Wendy, of Pennsylvania Furnace; four grandchildren; Joshua and his wife Shevel Simonetti of Mingoville, Jessica Simonetti of Zion, Rebecca Wagner and Brandon Wagner both of Pennsylvania Furnace; two great grandchildren, Addison Grace and Lili Elizabeth Simonetti. He is also survived by one brother, Richard Wagner of Siglerville.
David loved spending time with “the lights of his life”, his grandchildren, also hunting, fishing, making crafts, woodworking and Penn State football and basketball.
A public visitation will be held Friday, November 30, 2012, from 6-8 pm, at Wetzler Funeral Service Inc., 206 N. Spring St., Bellefonte, PA 16823. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 1, 2012, at 11:00 am, at the funeral home, with Rev. Frank Skies officiating. Burial will follow in Meyer Cemetery, Benner Township.
