Obituary of Delores J. Smoyer, 75

Delores J. Smoyer, 75, of rural Julian, passed away at Hearthside Rehab Center on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Delores was born on July 12, 1942 in Bellefonte, a daughter of the late Kenneth L. and Carolyn Young Hall. On January 8, 1960, she married David G. Smoyer, who survives .

Also surviving are her children Eileen (Jerry) Young of Julian, Dawn (Tim) Knepp , of Middleburg, and their children, Ryan (Sarah) Dixon of Terrace, NC, and Kyle Dixon of Middleburg, Michael (Deb) Smoyer of Julian, David G. (Maria) Smoyer, Jr. of Lancaster, and Nancy (Brian) Witmer of State College, and their children; Brandon Witmer, Shane Witmer, Olivia Witmer and Chase Witmer all of State College. Delores is also survived by her brother, Barry (Gladys) Hall of rural Julian, her sisters, Nancy (Larry) Womer of Port Matilda, Rhea (Doug) Wahrenberger of Oviedo, FL, Ruth (Sam) Gray of Axeman. and Sandra (Dan) Burns of rural Julian. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews.

Delores was a homemaker, she enjoyed gardening and her flowers; she especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

Services and burial will be private with Pastor K.R. Mele, officiating at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery.
