Diane Elena Aronson, 65, of Huntingdon, died Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at J.C. Blair Memorial Hospital, after a long struggle with heart disease.

She was born in Philadelphia on May 13, 1944, a daughter of the late David Caldwell and Lilly (Campoli) Campbell. She married Karl F. Aronson, who survives at home, at the Feasterville Baptist Church, Sept. 24, 1966, by the Rev. Woodrow Newman. Graduated from Nesheminy High School and the Grandview Hospital School of Nursing in Sellersville, Pa.

A member of the State College Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, State College, PA. Mrs. Aronson was a former deaconess and led bible study. Following graduation from nursing school, Mrs. Aronson was employed as a Registered Nurse at the Abington Hospital and subsequently by numerous physicians in the State College area. She was also employed by the Meadows Psychiatric Center. Mrs. Aronson retired from active practice from the medical practice of Drs. Pandolph and Polansky.

Mrs. Aronson enjoyed her association with several generations of patients. She loved her dogs, country and gospel music, and reading non-fiction. Her desire in life was to share Jesus with others.

In addition to her husband she is survived by one son, Timothy John Karl Albin Aronson and his wife, Kathleen (McGinn), of Austin, Texas; two nieces, Heather and Kristen; and one nephew, David Glen. She is also survived by one brother, David Caldwell, of Shippensburg, Pa. She was preceded in death by one brother, John Caldwell.

Friends will be received at the State College Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, 1221 West Whitehall Road, State College, PA 16801 from 9 a.m. until the hour of the service on Saturday, March 13, 2010. Funeral Service will be held at the church, Saturday, March 13, 2010 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. David Janssen officiating. Burial will be at The Saint Stephens Lutheran Church Cemetery, Jackson Township, McAlevys Fort, Pa.
