Obituary of Dolores L. Buttorff, 87

Dolores L. Buttorff, of Woodward, passed from this life at her home on Sunday, January 29th. She was 87. Born January 15, 1930 in Woodward, Dolores was a daughter of the late John and Ada “Arney” Brindel. On June 15, 1954, in Lewisburg, she married Clifford A. Buttorff who preceded her in death in 2005.

Dolores is survived by one daughter, Gina M. Buttorff of Mifflinburg; one son, Greg C. Buttorff of Woodward; three grandchildren, Travis M. Zimmerman, Angela Zimmerman and Jason G.N. Buttorff, and two great great grandchildren, Abigail E. Zimmerman and Lyla E. Buttorff. Also surviving are two sisters, Doris Boob of Millheim and Regina Fisher of Spring Mills, and one brother, Leo Brindel of Woodward. Dolores was preceded in death by siblings, Carl, Earl, Guy, John, Harry, Margaret, Leona and Lyda Brindel.

Dolores was employed at the former Valley Manufacturing in Millheim. She loved to work around her home, especially outdoors. Dolores enjoyed working on puzzles, feeding the birds and watching the deer. She loved her independence, but most of all, Dolores loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, February 3rd from 10-11 am at Trinity United Methodist Church in Woodward with the funeral service following at 11 am with Pastor Christ Lutz officiating. Dolores will be laid to rest in Woodward Cemetery. Contributions in memory of Dolores may be given to Trinity United Methodist Church, Po Box 157, Woodward, PA 16882.
