Donald E. "Hum" Tomco, 81, of Bellefonte, passed away Thursday, Sept. 30, 2010, at his home.

Born on Jan. 17, 1929 in Stormstown, he was a son of the late Paul and Nellie Harshberger Tomco. He attended the Warriors Mark, Port Matilda, and State College School systems. Donald was a lifelong farmer. He was of the Protestant faith. Don was a Veteran who served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler and watching all types of sports.

Donald is survived by one brother, Paul Tomco (Cleo), of Bellefonte; and three sisters, Ilene Shultz (Martin), of Bellefonte, Kay Little (Bob), of Bellefonte and Miriam Brenner, of Delaware; by one cousin, John Tomco (Connie); and also surviving are many nieces, nephews. He is also survived by his dog Shorty. Along with his parents Donald is preceded in death by four sisters, Marjorie Tokar, Norma Rackish, Joann Confer, Imogene; and one brother, Glen Tomco.

There will be a public visitation held on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, from 10 a.m.-12 p.m., the time of the service at Wetzler Funeral Service Inc. in Bellefonte. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 5, 2010, at 12 noon at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Bardo officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family at Grays Cemetery in Patton Township.
