Obituary of Donald " Fetz" Fetzer , 74

Donald J. Fetzer “Fetz”, 74, went to be with the Lord on December 30, 2010.

He was born May 6, 1936, in Centre County the son of the late Dean and Cora (Roan) Fetzer.

Fetz was of the Lutheran faith. His faith gave him strength and absolute devotion to his family. He loved his animals and enjoyed spoiling them.

He is survived by two daughters, who cherished their father with unconditional love and patience; Tonia Tibbens and Cindy Capperella both of Bellefonte; two wonderful son-in-laws, Daniel L. Tibbens, Sr. and Joseph Capperella; two grandchildren, Daniel L. Tibbens, Jr. and Tessa Dawn Capperella; one great grandchild, Sully Logan Tibbens; four brothers, Melvin of Mill Hall, Richard of Lock Haven, Dean of Milesburg and Buck Fetzer of Port Mathilda; and several nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Don Spackman who was like a brother to Don, and three great friends: Bill Tibbens of Pleasant Gap, Rich and Martha Reese of Bellefonte.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by an infant son Donny Fetzer.

Don retired from Corning after thirty-two years of service and was a former member of the Pleasant Gap Lions Club.

Family and friends will be received noon- 1pm, on Monday, January 3, 2011 at Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A memorial service will follow at 1pm at the funeral home with his brothers the Pastor Buck and Dick Fetzer officiating. Burial will follow in Centre County Memorial Park.
