Donald R. Muthersbaugh, 81, formerly of Centre Hall, passed away on Friday, August 24, 2018 at the Geisinger Holy Spirit Hospital in Harrisburg. Born on June 24, 1937, in Barrville, he was the son of the late C. A. Burns & Flo M. King Muthersbaugh. On August 27, 1959, at the St. Johns Catholic Church in Bellefonte, he married Nancy A. Boldin, who survives at home in Harrisburg.

Donald was 1955 graduate of Centre Hall-Potter High School. He was a past member of the Sprucetown United Methodist Church. He was a Supervisor for the maintenance department at Taylor Park, retiring in 2012 after 33 years of service.

Donald enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. He and Nancy enjoyed playing golf, traveling, and attending the horse races at Penn National. His favorite sport teams were the Philadelphia Eagles and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Donald is survived by his wife, one sister, Betty Smeltzer of Centre Hall, three brothers; Carl Muthersbaugh and his wife, Judy, of Savanah, GA, Eugene Muthersbaugh and his wife, Elaine, of Centre Hall, and Harry Muthersbaugh and his wife, Roxanna, of Rochester, NY, one brother in-law, Evan Homan of Rebersburg, numerous nieces and nephews, and last by not least, his K-9 companion that was by his side always, Joey.

Along with his parents, Donald was preceded in death by a sister, Sarah Homan and a brother, Willard Muthersbaugh.

Funeral services will be on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at 10am, at the Sprucetown United Methodist Church in Spring Mills, with Pastor Theresa Heiser officiating. Burial will follow at the Sprucetown Cemetery.
