Born in Oxford, NC, December 2nd, 1933, son of the late John Lewis Suit Jr. and Helen D. Suit, Donald passed on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015. In his honor, a Scottish Wake will be held at the convenience of family, with details posted at a later date.

Donald served in the US Army as a medic, stationed at Ft. Hood, TX. He received his Bachelor and Master's degrees from the University of Florida, and his Ph.D. from Michigan State University. He later became an assistant professor and Dean of Students at Northern Michigan University, then Dean with Ferris State University. During his time at Michigan he was also counseling & clinical psychologist in private practice, and received his private pilot's license and owned a Cesna plane.

He married Jeanne McMichael on February 1st, 1969 in Marquette, Michigan. They soon moved to State College where Donald worked for Penn State University, later retiring in 2001 as the Senior Director of Student Affairs. He was a member and Deacon at State College Presbyterian Church, served 8 years as Ferguson Township Supervisor/Chair, former County Republican State Committee man for 8 years, and a 32nd Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite, Freemasonry.

Donald is survived by his wife Jeanne, son John, and daughter-in-law Cathy of State College, sister-in-law Ann B. McMichael of PA Furnace, and one nephew & many cousins in North Carolina. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Ann Suit-Moore, and brother-in-law Dennis McMicahel.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lance and Ellen Shaner Cancer Pavilion, Mount Nittany Medical Center.
