Obituary of Donald Yarnell, 88

Donald R. “Chubb” Yarnell, 88, of Hublersburg, passed away Saturday, September 26, 2015, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born September 12, 1926 in Mingoville, a son of the late George and Mildred Harnish Yarnell. Don was married to Edna Tallman, who preceded him in death on December 24, 2004.

Chubb was a railroad maintenance man for many years with the Pennsylvania Railroad and Conrail.

He was of Protestant faith.

He proudly served his country during the Second World War in the United States Navy.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving him are two sisters, Betty Vuccola of Mill Hall and Marie Koch of Clintondale; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by a sister, Louise Yarnell ; and two brothers, Fred and Robert Yarnell.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Kader-Neff Funeral Home and Cremation Services,135 West Main St., Howard with Rev. Nancy Kuhns officiating.
