Obituary of Dorothee Felts, 66

Dorothee Felts, 66, of Jacksonville, FL, died Monday, December 23, 2013, in Jacksonville following a long and courageous battle with kidney disease.

She was born April 22, 1947, a daughter of the late Paul and Heidi Drake.

Dorothee graduated form the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and a minor in Studio Art.

Painting, playing Trivial Pursuit (at which she was an absolute expert), and spending time with family were among the things she enjoyed most. She was also an avid and gifted speed reader often reading two complete novels in one day.

Surviving Mrs. Felts is one daughter, Sarah D. Felts of Jacksonville, FL; a son Paul T. Felts and his wife Jennifer of Richmond, VA; three sisters, Annette (Durant) McCurley of East Haven, Ct, Michelle (Michael) Baldiga of Hughestown, PA and Jean (Jeff) Randolph of Williamsburg, VA; one brother, Paul (Lynda) Drake of Jacksonville, IL; and two grandchildren, Annabel and Evan Felts.

She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Felts.

Friends will be received form 8:30 a. m. until 9:30 a. m Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Saint Kateri Catholic Church, 3503 Penns Valley Road, Spring Mills, PA. A mass of Christian Burial will follow immediately at 9:30 a. m. at the church with Father Chinemere Onyeocha officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Millheim.
