Obituary of E. Jean (Heltman) Miller, 85

E. Jean (Heltman) Miller, 85, of Nittany, passed away on Sunday evening, January 28, 2018 at Susque View Nursing Home, where she had been a patient since December 22, 2017. She was born in Hublersburg, on April 28, 1933 to Cleo and Mildred (Hinds) Heltman. Jean went to grade school in Hublersburg and graduated from Bellefonte Area High School in 1951. She married the love of her life, Glenn E. Miller in Hublersburg on October 5, 1952, who survives.

After graduation, she worked for the former Nittany Packing Company in Centre Co. Later, she was employed at the Center Co. Prothonotary Offices, at the office of Dr. Arnold Ross Optometry and at the Nittany Inn. Jean also loved doing volunteer work at Centre Crest Nursing home. She attended the First Baptist Church in Bellefonte for many years.

Surviving Jean are her husband of 65 years Glenn E., son Daniel W. (Kim), daughter Lisa J. Gaines (Gary) and three grandchildren, Tara Myers, Joshua Miller and Julia Miller. Jean is also survived by brother, Samuel Heltman (Diane), nephew, Steve Heltman (Peg), niece, Lori Ingram (Wayne) and cousin, Barry Hinds (Norma). Jean was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Debra L. Myers.
