Obituary of Earl G. Donley , 69

Earl G. Donley, 69, of Bellefonte, passed away on Monday, September 27, 2010 at his residence.

Born on March 4, 1941 in Philipsburg, he was a son of the late Earl Wilson and Ruth Elliot (Dunlap) Donley.

On May 29, 1976 at the St. Marks Lutheran Church in Pleasant Gap, he was married to Sandra J. Markle, who survives at home.

He was a 1959 graduate of Bald Eagle Area High School.

Mr. Donley faithfully served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1960 until 1966.

Earl was employed by Corning Glass from 1967 until 2001, retiring as a Lead Machine Operator.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Heidi Myers (Andrew) of Etters; two step-daughters, Cynthia McAlevy (Roy) of Pleasant Gap, and Denise Hollobaugh of Spring Mills; one sister, Doris Hall (Carl) of Julian; one brother, Allen Donley (Helen) of Julian; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends from 11 AM until the time of the funeral services on Thursday, September 30, 2010, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. Funeral Services will begin at 1 PM on Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Duane Bardo officiating.

Entombment will follow at Centre County Memorial Park, where military honors will be accorded.
