Obituary of Earl L. Miller, 88

Earl L. Miller, 88 of Pleasant Gap formerly of Marsh Creek passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 at the Oaks. He was born on September 13, 1923, a son of the late Wilson & Hazel Mace Miller.

He married Lois Boone Miller, who preceded him in death.

Earl was a corrections officer at Rockview for over 25 years retiring in 1977. He proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. He was a member of the 3 Point Camp, the last original member since the camps inception in 1947. He served as a camp president for over 40 years. Earl was a avid hunter & also loved to bowl and play cards.

Earl is survived by three daughters; Vicky (Larry), Robin (Melvin), and Holly, two sons; David (Rhonda), and Steve (Donna), six sisters; Mary Meyers, Eva Woomer, Frances Mansell, Relda Mapes, Nancy Watson, and Judy, and one brother; Bob Miller. He was preceded in death by five brothers; Howard, Ray, Floyd, John and Guy. He was also preceded in death by a granddaughter Dana Marie Miller. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service to be held at the Chapel @ The Oaks, 200 Rachel Dr., Pleasant Gap, Pa. on Sunday, February 26, 2012 at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. Kenneth D. Stephens officiating.
