Eleanor Jean Norris, 92, of Bellefonte, formerly of Everett, entered into eternal life, reunited with her daughter Roberta, on Tuesday, May 25, 2010, at Centre Crest Nursing Center in Bellefonte.

She was born April 19, 1918 in Harrisburg, a daughter of the late Herbert and Alice Bratton.

Eleanor was married to Donald Norris, who survives in Everett, PA.

She was employed the Everett Sewing factory, and also with the family Bonanza restaurants. Her memberships included the First Christian Church in Everett and the Lioness Club of Everett.

A person of varied interests, Eleanor enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, painting, gardening, knitting, sewing, and loved spending time with family at the ocean.

Surviving Mrs. Norris are her grandchildren, Donald and Sandy Thompson of Everett, Lori and Bruce Struble of State College, Richard and Tammy Thompson of Utah, David Thompson of State College, Karen and Drew Callaghan of Philadelphia, Elizabeth and Eric Kukanich of Norfolk, VA, and Bob and Maria Tiffany of Johnstown; fifteen great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta Ann 'Bertie' Norris Thompson Foor; a great grandson Matt Wigfield; two sisters, Janet Norris, and Marilyn Kline; and three brothers, Orlando, Herbert and Jack Bratton.

Friends will be received from 1 to 2 PM on Friday, May 28, 2010 at the First Christian Church, 57 Providence St. Everett, PA. The funeral will be conducted at 2 PM on Friday, at the church, with the Reverend Robert Robertson officiating. Burial will be in the Everett Cemetery, Everett, PA
