Elizabeth Reed Bergstein a resident of Juniper Village in State College, died on Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Mt. Nittany Medical Center.

Born in Pittsburgh and raised in Washington DC, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Ethel Kegg Reed.

On December 18, 1949 in State College she married Milton J. Bergstein, who preceded her in death on February 14, 2012.

Elizabeth is survived by son, Andrew T. Bergstein of State College.

She is also survived by a grandson Ethan E.B. Kasales of Lemont and his mother Barbara Kasales, and a sister Patricia Reed Belser of Rehoboth, DE.

In addition to her husband, Elizabeth was preceded in death by her daughter, Nan Reed Bergstein in 1997; step-mother, Esther Jones Reed; and brother-in-law, Dana Belser.

Elizabeth was of the Jewish faith; she attended Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School in Maryland and graduated from Penn State University with a BS in Clinical Psychology. She was a member of the PARC board and was a volunteer at Schlow Library for 13 years.

Funeral services will be held at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with Rabbi David Ostrich officiating.

Burial will be at Centre County Memorial Park.
