Obituary of Emily M. Leathers, 91

Emily M. Leathers, 91 of Howard, passed away on September 25, 2009 at the Susque-View Nursing Home. She was born on October 25, 1917 in Mt. Carmel, Pa. She was the daughter of the late Percy and Mary Carl Merton.

She was united in marriage to Ralph O. Leathers in 1935. He preceded her in death in 1984.

She was an assistant cashier at the former First National Bank of Howard for 45 years. She was an active member of the Main Street Methodist Church in Howard.

She is survived by a daughter; L. Jean McCool and husband Tony of Howard. She was preceded in death by a son; Robert Leathers in 1955. She is also survived by a granddaughter; Beth Linn and husband, Michael of Lansdale; and a great-grandson; Spencer Linn of Lansdale.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at the Main Street United Methodist Church in Howard with the Pastor Craig Rose officiating. Burial will be at the Centre Co. Memorial Park, State College, Pa. Friends will be received 1 hour prior to service at the church.
