Obituary of Emily Torsell, 99

Emily Packard Torsell, 99, of Bellefonte, passed away Monday, May 28, 2012, at the Eagle Valley Personal Care Home in Milesburg. Born November 16, 1912, in Canandaigua, NY, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Ellsworth and Marguerite (Mason) Packard. On April 27, 1946, in Milwaukee, WI, she was married to Patrick Francis Torsell, who preceded her in death on September 16, 1998.
Emily was a graduate of Washington High School in Milwaukee, WI, Class of 1930, a 1935 graduate of Whitewater State Teachers College, and 1940 graduate of Northwestern University.
She had worked at the Milwaukee Vocational School of Business from 1935-1946. She was a stenographer for Titan Metal Manufacturing Co. from 1947-1954 and a Business Education Teacher for Bellefonte Area High School from 1954-1974.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bellefonte.
Services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
