Erma O. Krape, 81, of Bellefonte, passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2010 at the Geisinger Medical Center in Danville.
Born on November 4, 1928 in Howard, she was a daughter of the late Harry I. and Hazel (Butler) Haines.
On May 9, 1962, in Milesburg, she married Harold J. Krape who survives at home.
Erma had been employed and retired from Centre Engineering.
She enjoyed crocheting, camping, and attending the Grange Fair, but most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter, Kathy Crock (Ernest); four sons, William Poorman, Jr. (Ginger), Thomas Krape (Sandy), Timothy Krape, and John Krape (Pam); one sister, Betty Cox; nine grandchildren, William Poorman III, Kimberly Culverson, Ernie Jr. and Ashley Crock, Matthew Krape, Joshua Fetters, Devin Witherite, Summer and Aspen Krape; seven great-grandchildren; her special friend, Doris Crock; and her beloved dog, Cocoa;
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Bathurst.
Friends will be received from 10 AM until the time of the funeral services, Wednesday, January 6, 2010, at the Mark D. Heintzelman Funeral and Cremation Service, 1034 Benner Pike, State College. The funeral will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, at the funeral home with the Reverend Renee Ford officiating. Interment will take place at Centre County Memorial Park in State College.
