Obituary of Esther Bowersox , 79

Esther L. Bowersox, age 79, of Pleasant Gap died peacefully at home on Thursday, June 25, 2015.

She was born September 6, 1935, in Philadelphia. She was the daughter of the late Albert C. and Esther S. Yeager. On August 15, 1959, in Woodward, she married Myron L. Bowersox, who survives at home.

Prior to marriage, she was employed at the CarrieAnn Mountainview Restaurant in Woodward. She was a Protestant and a homemaker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Ralph L. (Janis) of Irwin, PA and Alan L. (Beth) of Spring Hill, TN; four grandchildren, Glenn (Yasmin), Dana, Brendon (Andrea Theobald) and Zachary as well as one great-grandson Joseph Henry Bowersox.

Services will be private for the family, followed by interment in the Garden Mausoleum at Centre County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101-9929; or Ellie’s Miracle, 4021 Cadence Dr., Spring Hill, TN 37174 for childhood cancer research and to support children’s families at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
