Evelyn (Johnson) Ault, 93 of State College died Tuesday, May 21, 2013, at Elmcroft Senior Living in State College. Born November 27, 1919, in Ginter, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gothard and Catherine (Bearhart) Johnson of Houtzdale, PA.

A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family at the Presbyterian Church in State College.

She graduated from Houtzdale-Woodward High School in 1937 and pursued a career as a sales representative with Sealtest which she followed by graduation from Pittsburgh Cosmetology School and was a successful beautician in Houtzdale.

On May 11, 1946, she married Russell H. Ault of State College in the Presbyterian Church in Houtzdale, who proceeded her in death on October 28, 2006. Evelyn was also proceeded in death by her son, James Russell Ault, on April 5, 1980, her sisters, Marie Johnson, Geraldine (Johnson) Falk of State College, and her brother, Chester Johnson of Houtzdale. She is survived by her sister, Mae (Johnson) Morris of Melborne, Florida, her grandson, James Russell Ault, Jr. of Hawaii, ten nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.

She shared a very giving life with her husband, family, and many friends as a member of the board of the Presbyterian Home in Philipsburg, the Centre Hills Country Club of State College, and also the Miles Grant Country Club in Stuart, Florida. She was an avid golfer that continued through her retirement in Stuart until 2005.
